William T. "Billy" Root

William T. “Billy” Root, age 51, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on May 23, 2024 at his home in rural Celina. He was born on June 7, 1972 in Rochester, New York.

He is survived by his life partner, Tin Root; a son, Derick Root, Kansas City, Kansas; and stepson, James (Moriah) Sharp, Celina.

Billy was a 1990 graduate of Edison Career & Technology High School in Rochester, New York. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed watching the Las Vegas Raiders, Star Wars and Star Trek and most of all spending time with his family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, Rev. Matt Overman officiating; the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home.
