Vivian A. Beckstedt, 98, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at The Gardens in Celina, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 27, 1926, in Rockford, Ohio, to the late Lee and Evaline (VanTilburg) Frysinger, Vivian lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Linda) Beckstedt of Lima; her daughter, Margie Schwartz of Celina; four grandchildren: Denny Hull of Celina, Jennifer (Dan) Gigliotti of Plain City, Ohio, Carrie (Brian) Estadt of Kona, Hawaii, and Kristen Harrand of Lima; as well as six cherished great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son-in-law, Dave Schwartz; her brother, Leland Frysinger; and her two sisters, Ilo Frysinger-DeBolt and Pat Frysinger-Williams.
Vivian was a proud 1944 graduate of Rockford High School and spent many years as a dedicated employee at the Mercer County Recorder's Office before retiring. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, where she served in the Altar Rosary Society.
A woman of many interests, Vivian enjoyed crafting, spending time at the Senior Citizen Center in Celina, volunteering, and helping set up for their garage sales. She also loved dining out with her dear friends. Her warm and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Father Prashanth Bandanadham officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday morning, prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
