Ruth E. Sites

Ruth E. Sites, age 85, of Rockford passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1932 in Mercer County to the late Ivan & Emma (Rasawehr) Fast. She married William J. Sites on August 25, 1957, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1991.

Ruth was the mother to five children – Colleen (Randy) Shellabarger of Rockford, Teresa Sites of Mendon, & Peggy (Doug) Beair of Rockford and preceded in death by children - Roger Sites & Beverly Sites; grandmother to five grandchildren – Tim, Chad, Lindsay, Job, & Rachael; great grandmother to four great grandchildren – Kylie, Morgan, Toby, & Eli; and sister to Arnold Fast of Celina & Henrietta Barber of St. Marys.

Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She dedicated most of her life as a homemaker for her family and was a member of St. John Lutheran Hopewell Church. Ruth enjoyed the Ohio State Buckeyes, farming, playing cards, camp fires, spending time in the woods, and quilting. Ruth truly loved her family and was devoted to her family, friends and grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina with Rev. Karen Tamorria officiating, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Graveside service will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
