Rufino Jack Phillip June 25, 1973 – November 8, 2024 Celina, Ohio

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rufino Jack Phillip, age 51, of Celina, Ohio, who peacefully passed away at Mercer Health Community Hospital in Coldwater on November 8, 2024. Jack was born on June 25, 1973, in the Marshall Islands to the late Ataji Phillip and Maryann (Tolwi) Rubon.

On September 16, 2006, Jack was united in marriage to Lisa Jorom, who survives him in Celina. He leaves behind his beloved children: Donny Rufino, Benediction Kokki Philip, Meritha Phillip, and Tre Phillip. He was also the proud grandfather of Atachi Philip. Jack is also survived by his six sisters: Alvina Karben, Ezra Paralez, Theresia Branson, Ann Mary Lakabunz, Naomi Rubon, and Neenji Rubon; and brother, Milther Tolwi.

Jack was a 1991 graduate of Calvary High School in the Marshall Islands. His faith and love for his people were always important to him, and he was an active member of Kings Celina Marshallese Church in St. Marys. Jack's love for life was reflected in his passions: he enjoyed watching and playing baseball, traveling, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He was known as a kind, respectful man who touched many lives in his community. His warmth, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A time of visitation and remembrance will be held from 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024, until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Kings Celina Marshallese Church, 701 Holly Street, St. Marys, Ohio. Following the service, Jack will be laid to rest at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
