Robert W. Moothart, 94, Celina, OH, passed away on July 5, 2015, at 12:15 P.M., at Sunrise of Findlay assisted living facility, Findlay, OH. He was born on June 28, 1921 in Wapakoneta, OH to Raymond and Grace (Ritchie) Moothart; both preceded him in death. He married June E. Hay on July 22, 1946; she preceded him in death on October 19, 2006.
Survivors include a son, Stanley Moothart, Findlay, OH; a daughter-in-law, Christine Nalle, Findlay, OH; a sister, Jeannie Liening, Tucson, AZ; a grandson, Terry Moothart, Findlay, OH; and two great granddaughters, Addie and Ember.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Moothart; and a sister, Mary Ann Madsen.
Bob was a 1940 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He severed his country in the United States Army during the WWII era. He spent his lifetime working for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, St. Marys, OH.
He attended St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, OH and was a life member of Celina VFW Post 5713 and a member of Celina American Legion Post 210.
Graveside services will begin at 1:00 P.M on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, with Rev. Dr. Jeff Gramza, officiating; military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post 210 and Celina VFW Post 5713.
