Rick L. Thees

Rick L. Thees, age 63, of Noblesville, Indiana, and formerly of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born on January 15, 1962, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Donald and Charlene (Dull) Thees.

Rick is survived by his children: AJ (Christy) Thees of Van Wert, Macey Thees of Celina, and Grant Thees of Columbus, Indiana; his beloved grandson, Jabin Thees; two brothers, Steve Thees of Noblesville, Indiana, and Mike (Cindy) Thees of Celina; and his sister, Cathy Thees of Celina. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Thees.

A 1979 graduate of Celina High School, Rick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Time Warner Cable in Celina.

Rick was an avid golfer who loved the outdoors. He was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees and Ohio State Buckeyes. Known for his sense of humor, he delighted in sharing stories and jokes with those around him. Most of all, Rick cherished his time with family and friends. His laughter, warmth, and love will be deeply missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to the service. Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service by Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina VFW Post #5713.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
