Phyllis A. Godwin, 84, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Vancrest of St. Marys. She was born March 8, 1939 in Celina to the late Harry H. and Mabel L. (Eversman) Moellenkamp.
Survivors include her children, Sheryl (Jeff) Routt, Van Wert, Jeffrey (Juli) Godwin, Westerville, Ohio, Dianne (Kenneth) Wiehe, Celina and Sharron (Tailo Brown) Godwin, Dayton; four grandchildren, Kolyn (Roni), Clark, Rhett and Tori; and one great grandson, Kaiden.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by a half sister, Clara E. Grider.
She was a 1957 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She worked at Jim’s Harley-Davidson Sales in Mendon for many years, K-Mart in St. Marys and retired from Visions in Celina after 20 years of service.
Phyllis was member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. She enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidery and most of all spending time with her family.
Memorial services will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, January 4, 2023 at Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions can be given to Grand Lake United Methodist Church and/or Cancer Association of Mercer County.
