Pauline Youngker of Celina, age 88, passed away with her loving family by her side on March 23, 2019 at 9:00 pm at the Miller Place in Celina. She was born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky to the late Dewey & Ethel (Crawford) Gentry on December 22, 1930. On August 27, 1950, she married the love of her life, Lester Youngker and they have been married for 68 wonderful years; he survives in Celina.
Pauline adored her loving family; she is survived by two sons, Tim (Jamie) Youngker of Norcross, GA and Gregory (Trisha Frank) Youngker of St. Marys. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Christi Youngker, who passed away in 2013. Not only was she loving with her immediate family, but that love and kindhearted spirits continued through to her entire extended family. Pauline leaves behind a sister, Chris Fugate of Kentucky, one brother, Joe Gentry, also of Kentucky and a sister-in-law, Margret Gentry of Celina. Pauline was preceded in death by siblings, Jack Gentry, Willetta House and Ted Gentry. Pauline also has one grandchild, Dayna (Matthew) Weaver and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Youngker, Kyra Thraser and a 3rd great-grandchild on the way.
Pauline was a 1950 graduate of East Bernstadt High School and went on to work at Huffy, where she retired in 1993 after 33 ½ years of service.
When Pauline wasn’t working, she enjoyed numerous activities at her church, Celina Baptist Temple, where she was a very active member. She also enjoyed gardening and garage selling. Most importantly, Pauline enjoyed spending time with her family. She will truly be missed by all.
Pauline’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Miller Place and State of the Heart Hospice in Celina for their special care they provided for her.
Visitation hours will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Funeral services will follow visiting hours and begin at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Steve Clayton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
