Paul Edward Meeds

Paul Edward Meeds, age 99, of Celina, OH, passed away at St. Rita Medical Center, Lima, OH, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:42 am. He was born September 21, 1917 in Piqua, OH to the late Elvy W. and Mamie A. (Sheets) Meeds. He married Mary J. Hanna on July 4, 1946 and she preceded him in death on August 15, 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Mae (Steve Hague) Gehm, Celina, OH; three brothers, Russel Meeds, Greenville, OH, Herb (Nancy) Meeds, Celina, OH and Robert (Ina) Meeds, Greenville, OH; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by a brother, Odus (Lila) Meeds; a sister, Glenna (Oscar) Figel; and a sister-in-law, Norma Meeds.

Paul served his country in the United States Army during the WWII era, stationed in the South Pacific. He retired from Mersman Furniture Company in Celina after 25 years of service.

He was a member of Light House Fellowship Church, Celina, OH.

Visitation hours will be from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm, Friday, March 24, 2017 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, OH.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday in the Cisco Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Richmond officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, OH; where military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina VFW Post #5713.
