Paul N. “Bud” Gibson, 68, St. Marys, OH, passed away at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:54 PM. He was born June 15, 1946 in St. Marys, OH, the son of William and Rosemary (Whitehead) Gibson, both preceded him in death. On July 21, 1970 he married Nancy Rumpff; she survives at the residence in St. Marys.
He is survived by a son, Mike Gibson, St. Marys; a brother, Billy (Brenda) Gibson, St. Marys; a sister, Melody (William) Grunden, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Edwin) Cotterman, Sidney; a brother-in-law, Roger (Linda) Rumpff, Sidney; four grandsons, Kirk, Kyle, Kody and Ethan; a great granddaughter, Kaytlyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sharon Rose Gibson; and a brother, John Gibson.
Bud served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He worked as a foreman at Ajax in St. Marys and Thieman Tailgates in Celina. His favorite hobbies included cars, motorcycles and working in the yard. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 – 7 PM on Wednesday November 5, 2014, in the Cisco Funeral Home of St. Marys. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Military honors will be provided by the St. Marys VFW.
