Melvin Linn
CELINA, Ohio — Melvin Linn, 87, of Celina, formerly of Chattanooga, died at 11:10 p.m. March 20, 2014, at The Miller House.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Celina, to the late Michael A. Linn and Amelia (Baker) Linn.
On Nov. 20, 1948, he married Anna Lee Snider. She survives.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerome Linn and Vernon Linn, and sisters: Ruth, Opal, Esther, Hazel and Marcella.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will be in UCC Church Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted after service at the cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
Memorial contribution may be made to: Grand Lake Hospice or Northwest Kidney Foundation.
