Melvin Hull Jr.

Melvin (Toad) Hull, Jr., 86, passed away at his home in Celina, on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 4:50 P.M. He was born on September 27, 1928 in Celina, to the late Melvin Sr. and Minnie (Miller) Hull. In June 1953 he married Mary Counterman who survives in Celina. Other survivors include three daughters, Debbie (Nick) Schroer, Neptune, Colleen (Rick) Hilker, Ft. Wayne, Sheri Hull, Celina; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Roaslyn Riesen. Melvin attended Celina Senior High School. He served his country in the United States Army in Ft. Lewis, Washington during the Korean War Era, where he was in Co. B34th engineer 6th Army. He retired from Goodyear after 43 years. He also farmed, owned a radiator shop, and worked for New York Railroad. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, and Celina American Legion, Post 210. Past member of Chapter #120 Masonic Lodge. Private services will be held at the...
