Mary C. Poeppelman, age 65, of Spencerville, passed away at 9:45 am on August 7, 2021 at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 8, 1955 to the late Arthur & Edna (Fountain) Davis.
Mary shared three children with James Poeppelman who survives in Celina. Mary loved her entire family. She is survived by children: James Poeppelman II of Celina, Amanda (Levi) Tucker of Noblesville, Indiana, and Danielle (Kyle) Delauter of Celina; life partner, Scott Hesse of Spencerville; siblings: Ruth (David) Garrett, James “Jim” (Marianne) Davis; sister-in-law, Joanne Davis; grandchildren: Liam & Gavin Tucker, Isabella Mull, Christian & Ophelia Delauter; and Scott’s grandchildren: Macaylah & Andrew Hesse.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Arthur Davis & Cynthia Davis.
Mary graduated from Catonsville High School in Catonsville, Maryland. She worked most of her life in food service.
Mary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and the Celina Eagles, Post # 1291. She loved her time with her family and friends, most important to her was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who will miss her deeply. She enjoyed flowers, jewelry, making jewelry, coffee, crafting, gardening, painting, baking, she was known for her plates of cookies, and playing games with her family and friends. Mary had a strong faith and was a firm believer in God; she was devoted to her religion.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina.
Funeral liturgy and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S., officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Hamilton-Bethel Cemetery in Mendon.
