Martha L. Jarrett

Martha L. Jarrett, age 89, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1:26 pm at Mercer Health in Coldwater. She was born February 27, 1932 in Willshire, Ohio to the late Paul M. and Eva (Marbaugh) Schaffner. On May 7, 1961 she married William Jarrett and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2004.

She is survived by her children, Connie (Mike) Adams, Celina, Kenny Baylog, California, Deborah (Steve) Garman, Columbus, Ohio, Stevan Jarrett, Miamisburg, Ohio, Bill Jarrett, Jr., Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Becky (Ronnie) Fetters, Celina, Jim "Bo Bo" (Loa Jane) Jarrett, Delta, Ohio, Robert (Melody) Haines, Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Angie Howard, Celina and Lori Miller, Celina; three brothers, Paul (Sharon) Schaffner, Galion, Ohio, William "Robin" (Laure) Schaffner, Cookeville, Tennessee and Francis (Sandy) Schaffner, Rockford; three sisters, Nancy Hilbold, Rockford, Rachael Smalley, Texas and Eleanor Blubaugh, Willshire, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Marlene Schaffner, Willshire, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Marty is also preceded in death by four brothers, Roland Marbaugh, Jim (Ann) Schaffner, George Schaffner and John (Ann) Schaffner; three sisters, Phyliss (Roy) Roose, Ruth (Lee) Smalley and Monica Schaffner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony Hilbold, Clay Smalley, Leon Blubaugh, Earl (Hazel) Jarrett, Lois (Ned) Brown, AnnaLee (George) Geesling, Arthena (Alvin) Pearson and Marjorie (Gerald) Comer.

Marty was a 1950 graduate of Willshire High School. She retired from Huffy Bicycle Manufacturing Company in Celina after 30 years of service.

She was a life member of Celina America Legion Auxiliary Unit #210 and Celina VFW Auxiliary Post #5713. Marty enjoyed sewing, crocheting, bowling, reading, fishing, hunting mushrooms, making personalized cards, watching hummingbirds and spending time with her family and friends.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the Jarrett family.

Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
