Marion L. Heindel, age 81, of Celina, OH, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 4:30 am at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, OH. He was born May 15, 1935 in Celina, OH to the late Lowell and Dee Laura (Yaney) Heindel. On June 28, 1959 he married Rita M. Wallen; and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2014.
He is survived by five daughters, Wanda (Ronald) Lange, Osgood, OH, Donna Wagner, New Port Richey, FL, Karen Heindel, Minster, OH, Diana (Jeff) Bailey Culpeper, VA, and Sandra Baldwin, Toledo, OH; a special friend, Nelva Smith, St. Marys, OH; six brothers and sisters, Evelyn (George) Wilder, CA, Elnora Levi, Columbus, OH, Jim (Ella) Heindel, Celina, OH, Bill (Billie Jo) Heindel, Mercer, OH, David (Rose) Heindel, Lynn Haven, FL, and Mark (Jane) Heindel, Celina, OH; a step-brother, Dano Donavan, Celina, OH; two sisters-in law, Pat Flore, Delphos, OH, and Linda Heindel, Delphos, OH; a brother-in-law, Ron (Sharon) Foust, Delphos, OH; and twelve grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a step-mother, Elsie Davis; and two brothers-in-law, Leo Levi, and Ray Flore.
He was a 1953 graduate of Celina High School, Celina, OH. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from New Idea, Coldwater, OH, after 30 plus years. After retiring he went on to work a First Financial Bank, Celina, OH.
He was a member of Mt Zion United Methodist Church, Celina, OH, where he was very active helping out as a janitor, treasurer, and a Sunday school teacher. He also served on the Neptune Park Committee.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by all.
Visitation hours will be from 3-7 pm on Friday, January 27, 2017, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday morning in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Celina, OH, with Pastor Craig Cisco officiating; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, OH; where military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post 210 and Celina VFW Post 5713.
