She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria VanTilburg; and brother, Ron Brewer.
Marilyn worked most of her life as a homemaker, she opted not to work outside the home; instead, she devoted her work to supporting her family and caring for them with much pride. Marilyn was a faithful mother and grandmother who affectionately looked forward to visits from her grandkids and instilled the love of life in them. Marilyn was an advocate for blood donations. She saved an immeasurable number of lives through her countless number of donations throughout the years. She enjoyed crocheting, was known for her amazing baked goods, and was a staple for several years in the local bowling league. One of her favorite past times was teaching and playing cards with all that she met.
She was very active in both churches she attended, St. John Lutheran Church in Celina as well as Celina Church of the Nazarene, and she was a member of the Celina VFW post #5713, where she volunteered many hours, and the Celina Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #1291.
