Ludvina “Liddy” Leugers, age 104, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on April 1, 2019 at the Celina Manor. She was born August 12, 1914, in St. Rose, Ohio to the late John and Mary Ann (Uhlenhake) Leugers.
Survivors include a sister, Marcella Lange of Celina; and many nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by a brother, Othmar (Viola) Leugers; and three sisters, Hilda and Mary Catherine, and Agatha Leugers.
Ludvina retired from Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina, after 35 years of service.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, quilting, and sewing. She loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and its Alter Rosary Society, and Resurrection Choir. She was also a member of Legion of Mary, and the Sunshine Singers, Celina Chapter. Ludvina was very active with her Church, volunteering on the prayer chain, cooking and baking for many of the events at the parish.
Mass of Christian Burial and the celebration of her life will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday morning April 4, 2019 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S., officiating. The family will also receive friends from 9:00 am – 10:00 am prior to the funeral mass at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund, to benefit I.C. School.
