Lowell E. "Gene" Walls, 80 of Mendon, Ohio, died at 1:55 pm Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born February 11, 1933 in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Luther and Gertrude Fackler Walls. He is preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers, two sisters, five brother in laws, and one sister in law.
He married Jeanette Homan on November 10, 1956, and she survives in Mendon, Ohio.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin (Barb) Walls, Celina, Ohio; Kerry (Heidi) Walls, Mendon, Ohio; two daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Lloyd, Venedocia, Ohio; Kathy (Tom) Coon, Celina, Ohio; Siblings, Lois Feasby, Convoy, Ohio; Eleanor Feasby, New Haven, Indiana; Shirley Roediger, Celina, Ohio; Carolyn Sue John, Van Wert, Ohio; Don (Arlene) Walls, New Philadelphia, Ohio; Gary (Sharon) Walls, Mendon,; In Laws, Wilbert Stoll, Zolfo Springs, Fl.; Evelyn Moorman, Sidney, Ohio; Leonard (Betty) Jutte, Rockford, Ohio; Vick (Della Mae) Rosenbeck, Pittsford, MI.; Raymond (Carol) Homan, Anna, Ohio; Dennis Homan, Florida, Preston (Linda) Boardwine, Anna, Ohio.
Lowell was the owner and operator of Walls Plumbing and Heating; a Long Time Farmer and Pioneer Seed Salesman. He attended Rockford High School, he is a US Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Spercerville.
Funeral Rites will be held at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Friends may call from 4-8 on Friday, December 27, 2013, with a Liturgical Funeral Service with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, Ohio.
