Lela M. (Archer) Siebert, age 87, passed away at 3:53 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, at The Gardens in Celina. She was born on May 23, 1935, in Mercer County to the late Guy & Naomi (Smith) Archer. On June 30, 1953, she married Paul Siebert, who preceded her in death on October 26, 2018.
She is survived by her four loving children, Richard (Lyn) Siebert of Wirtz, Virginia, Daniel (Sue) Siebert of Celina, Kathleen (Paul) Bonvillian of Celina, and Barbara (Russell) Bensman of St. Henry; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen, brother, Wilbur Archer and sisters, Mary Archer and Jeanette Archer.
Lela was a 1953 graduate of Mendon High School and worked most of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township in Rockford, was a past chairperson of Blood Services for the Mercer County Red Cross and was an adult Sunday School Teacher for many years. She enjoyed baking, reading, gardening and embroidering. Lela was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many; she will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral service take place on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township, 9009 State Route 118, Celina, Ohio 45822, with Pastor Adam Poe officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at the church.
Interment will follow at Buck Cemetery in Celina.
