Kyle P. Olding, formerly of Celina, was called home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2022 at the age of 38, at his residence in Dayton. He was born at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys on February 19, 1984.
He is survived by his father, Kevin (Sandy) Olding of Celina; his mother, Mindy Hays of Celina; sister, Heather (Diego) DeLaVega of Columbus; step brothers and sisters, Shauna (Jonathan) Walker of Tennesse, Leslie (Erik) Murlin of Celina, and Chad (Brittany) Hays of Ada; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; grandparents, Janet (Davis) Olding of Celina.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Olding, Glenn (Ruth) Figley; and stepfather, Bruce Hays.
Kyle was a 2002 graduate of Celina High School. He was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. He was a certified EMT & STNA and attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton. Kyle was very patriotic and wanted to serve for his country, but couldn’t do so due to the damage done by cancer to his body; he was a twenty-six-year survivor of osteosarcoma, starting his battle at the age of twelve. He loved music, playing guitar and was a member of the Iron Bear Marshall Arts Studio in Celina, where he was a purple belt.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on July 23, 2022 from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial service will begin at 12:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mick Whistler officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Society of Mercer County.
