Kenton J. “Kowboy Ken” Suchland, 69, 830 Hackney St., St. Marys, OH died 11:32 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. He was born May 2, 1944 in Mercer County, the son of Earl and Mildred (Fulk) Suchland Sr. He married Tura Reinhart on July 2, 1966 and she survives at the residence.
He is survived by one daughter, Diana (Robert) Hoskins, St. Marys; three grandchildren, Michael Hoskins, Michelle Hoskins and Danielle Hoskins all of St. Marys; and two brothers, Earl (Erma) Suchland Jr, St. Marys and Charles (Vickie) Suchland, New Bremen.
Kenton worked many years as a truck driver for St. Marys Beef Co. and later Classic Delight in St. Marys. He was a security officer for Good Year and later a school bus driver for St Marys City Schools. He opened his own business Kens Cycle Sales, St. Marys, repairing and selling mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles. He was very well known for starting Kwboy Kens Beef Jerky.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR and NFL Football.
He was a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge # 121 St. Marys and Ancient Scottish Rites of Dayton, OH.
Visitation hours will be from 3 PM – 7 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in Cisco Funeral Home 1175 E. Greenville Rd., St. Marys.
Funeral service will be on Friday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, OH.
Services have been entrusted to Cisco Funeral Home St. Marys.
