Kenneth "Kenny" D. Boggs

Kenneth “Kenny” D. Boggs, age 88, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 13, 1931 in Ottawa, Ohio to the late Rev. Sidney and Klara (Danarsky) Boggs. He married Marianne (French) Boggs on November 1, 1952 and she survives at the residence.

Other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Boggs, Celina; a son, Kenneth A. (Vonda) Boggs, Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Linda McCullough, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Jacobs; and a sister, Alice McCullough.

Kenny was a 1949 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from GTE after 36 years of service.

He was a member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, Celina VFW Post #5713 and the American Legion Post #210.

Visitation hours will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2019, at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, immediately followed by a service and a celebration of his life at the funeral home with Kenny’s grandson Rev. Jeff Armstrong officiating.

Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina, where military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina VFW Post #5713.
