Karen Jean Werntz

Karen Jean Werntz, 71, passed away at her residence in Celina, OH, on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 12:13 pm. She was born June 15, 1945 in Oxford, OH to John P. and Ann (Buttery) Moore, both preceded her in death. She married William “Bill” Werntz on December 12, 1985, he survives at the residence in Celina.

Other survivors include five children, Lisa (Steve) Hagerty, NC, Doug (Nan) Mielke, St. Marys, OH, Steve (Mary Beth) Mielke, St. Marys, OH, Elizabeth (Scott) Hemmelgarn, Troy, OH, and Kathryn (Mark) Moorman, Celina, OH; two step children, Mindy (Mike) Moore, Brookville, OH, and Brian (Casey) Werntz, Celina, OH; two sisters, Pam (Fred) Hirschfeld, Celina, OH, and Susie (Lee) Simon, Salem, OH; twenty four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Karen retired from Wilson Shoe Store in Celina after many years of service.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who had a very strong faith in God.

Memorial services will begin at 11:30 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina; where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:30 am prior to the service.

Private graveside service will be held a North Grove Cemetery, Celina, OH.
