June E. Sipes, age 74, of Deshler, Ohio and formerly of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away on May 5, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 9, 1949 in Washington DC. On August 14, 1969 she married Fred Sipes and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2012.
She is survived by her children, Chris (Melissa) Sipes, Lima, Ian (Krista) Sipes, Neptune and Gina (Jeremiah) Schaeffer, Deshler; brothers and sisters, Darlene Langley, Hughesville, Maryland, Patricia Bryant, Troy, Ohio, Thomas (Pamela) Hagan, Leonardtown, Maryland, Barbara Tidd, California, Maryland and James (Lynnette) Hagan, Tacoma, Washington; eight grandchildren, Devan, Raven, Tyler, Haylee, Robbie, Casey, Jonathon, Zander and Treniti; and six great grandchildren.
June was also preceded in death by her father, William Edgar Whitesell; stepfather and mother, Jesse Thomas and Audrey E. (Brady) Hagan; two brothers-in-law, Andy Bryant Jr. and James Langley.
She was a 1968 graduate of Sidney High School. She retired from Heritage Manor in Minster as a CNA after 36 years of service.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wauseon, Ohio.
June enjoyed baking, crocheting and spending time with her friends and family. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys located at 1175 E. Greenville Rd., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Garden in St. Marys.
