Janet I. Mann, age 84, of Wapakoneta passed away at 8:53 am on January 17, 2021 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 28, 1936 in Portland, Indiana to the late Earl & Mabel (Abbott) Slack. On November 24, 1955 she married Charles Mann who preceded her in death on August 3, 2013.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Becky Sue Mann of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Christopher (Jessica) West of Dayton, Ashley (Curt) Behr of St. Marys, and Kyle (Tasha) Denney of St. Marys; two great grandchildren, Easton Denney & Jensen Denney as well as one great grandchild on the way; siblings, Vera Mann of Geneva, Indiana and Jim Slack of Bryant, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Mann; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry (Gregory) West; granddaughter, Laura Denney; and siblings, Charles Slack & Vivian Springer.
Janet graduated from Poling High School, with the class of 1955; she spent most of her life caring for and loving her family while working as a homemaker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Homes in St. Marys. Funeral service will follow visiting hours at the funeral home at 12:00 pm with Rev. Rhonda Hainer officiating.
Internment will follow the funeral service in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Attendees are required to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the national concerns of COVID-19. Masks are required by attendees at visitation and funeral service.
Memorial contributions can be made to Putnam County Hospice.
