James D. “Jim” Miller, Jr., 60, passed away surrounded by his family at his residence in Celina, Ohio, on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11:00 am. He was born November 12, 1955 in Mercer County to James D. and Ruth E. (Shaw) Miller, Sr., who both preceded him in death. Jim married Deanna Stoner on July 3, 1987 and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include his six children, Shaun Miller, Ohio City, OH, Zachary (Casey) Miller, Muncie, IN, Katie (Tommy) O’Sullivan, Celina, OH, Stephanie K (Ronnie) Severt, Willshire, OH, Mathew (Jewels) Miller, Wabash, OH, and Jodie (Randy) Garman, Celina, OH; a sister, Rita Williamson, Wapakoneta, OH; and six grandchildren.
Jim was a 1974 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He worked for many years at NK Parts, Sidney and Kerns Chevrolet, Celina. He most recently worked in the office at Mercer Landmark, Celina.
Outside of work Jim was very active. He enjoyed all sports and loved playing racquetball and most recently golf. For over 17 years Jim coached little league baseball in Celina, he was very proud to be a coach. He also loved campfires, music, and most of all spending time with his family. Jim also taught Sunday school for many years and had a strong faith in God.
Memorial services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, June 9, 2016 in the Celina First Church of God with Pastor Craig Flack officiating; where the family will receive friends from 9 am – 11 am prior to the service.
