James R. Clements, 84, of St. Marys, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born May 9, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert Lee and Margaret (Wogenstahl) Clements. On January 25, 1969 he married Emma (Yahl) Clements and she preceded him in death on July 6, 1978.
Jim is survived by his children, Denise (Jeff) Norton, Sidney, Daniel (Kim) Clements, St. Marys, Rachelle (David) Breland, Sidney and Matthew Clements, St. Marys; eleven grandchildren, Rachel, Tyler, Micheal, Mekayla, Joel, Kyle, Colin, Emily, Owen, Aidan and Maggie; seven great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Emmalyn, Adalyn, Grace, Liam, Pace and Knox; a sister, Vicki Haynes, Celina; and a sister-in-law, Mary Clements, St. Henry.
He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Wanda Wahoff, Betty Schuler, Jeanne Dailey, Tommy Clements, Donnie Clements, Ron Clements, Iona Palmer and Donna Hornberger.
Jim proudly served his country in United State Army and United States Navy. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 32 years of service.
He enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, reading, golfing, gambling at casinos, swimming and spending time with his family and friends.
Memorial services will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys with Rev. Tim Benjiman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home. To conclude the services military rites to be conducted by St. Marys VFW Post #9289.
Private graveside services will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions can be given to Auglaize County Council on Aging, 610 Indiana Ave, St. Marys, Ohio 45885.
