Harry E. Patrie, age 90, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 4:44 A.M. at The Gardens of Celina. He was born July 28, 1926 in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Emmett and Georgia (Bistline) Patrie. He married Rita M. Klosterman on September 30, 1950, and she survives in Celina.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lou Ann (Ian) Swan, Cincinnati, Ohio; and two grandchildren, James Neil Swan and Katherine “Kati” Swan, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Robert, and Jim Patrie; and three sisters, Patricia Korte, Doris Bester, and Jane Simmons.
Harry served his country in the United States Navy during the WWII era. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in 1987 after 37 years of service.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a former member of Celina K of C, Celina Moose, Celina Eagles Lodge 1291, Celina VFW Post 5713 and Celina American Legion Post 210.
Harry enjoyed golfing, playing cards, landscaping, OSU football, and most of all spending time with his wife Rita and his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial and the celebration of his life will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Monday morning July 10, 2017, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Alt C.PP.S., officiating and Deacon Roger Klosterman co-officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 8:30 A.M. – 10:00 A.M at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina; where a Knights of Columbus prayer service will be conducted at the conclusion of the visitation.
Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina, with military honors by Celina VFW Post #5713 and Celina American Legion Post #210.
