Glen E. Harner, age 95, of Mendon, passed away on October 18, 2022, at 2:54 am at the Miller Place in Celina. He was born November 17, 1926 in Center Township to the late Gail and Hazel (Webb) Harner. On March 14, 1945 he married Katherine E. (Snyder) Harner and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2010.
Surviving is a son Michael (Ellen Welker) Harner, Celina; two daughters, Connie Sue Trisel, West Unity, and Deborah (Jim) Sites, Mendon; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers, Oreal, Ruel, and Herbert: two sisters, Delores Buxton and Dorothy Manier: and one grandson Adam Harner.
Glen was a 1944 graduate of Neptune High School. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army in both WWII and the Korean War.
Glen worked his entire life as a self-employed farmer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Funeral services will begin on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10:30 am at the funeral home; where the family will receive friends from 9:30 am – 10:30 am prior to the services. Burial will follow at Hamilton Bethel Cemetery in Mendon with military rites to be conducted by Celina American Legion Post #210 and VFW Post #5713.
Glen’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions can be made in Glen’s name to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
