Frederick “Fred” P. Wurster, age 79 of Celina, passed away on April 17, 2022 at 11:45 am at Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. He was born October 16, 1942 in Celina to the late Frank “Benny” and Helen (Rice) Wurster. On November 10, 1961 he married Susie (Stemen) Wurster and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include his children, Kimberly S. (Doug) Koesters, Coldwater and Frederick “John” (Debra Kessler) Wurster, Mendon; a brother, Francis (Karen) Wurster, Kissimmee, Florida; four grandchildren, Brittney, Chad, Ben and Ray; and one great grandson, Max.
Fred graduated from Celina Senior High School in 1960. He co-owned Benny’s Bakery for 30 years and went on to retire from Crown Equipment in Celina after 22 ½ years of service.
He was a member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, National Muzzleloaders Association, National Rifle Association, and a life member of Ohio Gun Collectors Association. Fred enjoyed building muzzleloaders, sailing, driving his MG sports car and helping at the election day dinner for over 20 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will by deeply missed by all.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 10:30 am at Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating; where the family will received friends from 9:30 am – 10:30 am before the service.
