Eva L. Burd, age 83 of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 7:05AM on November 29, 2014 at her residence in Celina. She was born on February 11, 1931 in Celina, Ohio to the late Russell & Elsie (Draper) Schmidt. On June 6, 1948 she married William Burd, who passed away on January 27, 2013. William & Eva had been together for 66 years. Survivors include: son: Randy & Tina Burd of Celina, Ohio; daughters: Laura & Steve Billger of Celina, Ohio; Linda Stott of Knoxville, Tennessee; Kathy & Nick Perze of Celina, Ohio; grandchildren & great-grandchildren; brothers: Bill Schmidt of Van Wert, Ohio; Bob Schmidt of Van Wert, Ohio; sister: Joyce Gates of Celina, Ohio. Preceded in death by: son-in-law: George Stott and sister: Bonnie Walls. Eva was a homemaker who offered her continuous love to her husband, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to garage sales, making crafts & listening to country music especially Vince Gill. Private memorial graveside services for family members will be held with Rev. Dr. Jeff Gramza, officiating. Burial will be held at Mercer Memory Gardens. There will be no calling hours.
