Edith C. Doenges, 59, 05751 Washington Pike, St. Marys, OH, died 6:40 AM on December 31, 2013. She was born March 23, 1954 in Celina, OH to Lawrence and Leona (Stachler) Schwieterman, both preceded her in death. She married Bill L. Doenges on May 26, 1975 and he survives at their residence.
Survivors include four sons, Kevin (Cecelia) Doenges, Columbus, OH, Jonathan Doenges, Grove City, OH, Louis Doenges, and fiancée Molly McNamara, Canton, OH and Rob Doenges, Fishers, IN; two daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Davis, Columbus, OH and Michele (James) Hudson, Troy, OH; six brothers, Lee Roy (Judy) Schwieterman, Morgan Town, IN, Daniel (Anna) Schwieterman, Houston, TX, Vern (Judy) Schwieterman, Citrus Springs, FL, Lloyd (Kathy) Schwieterman, Celina, OH, Stan Schwieterman, Dallas, TX and Art Schwieterman, St. Marys, OH; two sisters, Myra (John) Hileman, Celina, OH and Kay (Tim) Wenning, Celina, OH; and six grandchildren; Max and Allison Davis, Cathy and Heidi Hudson, Leona Doenges and baby Doenges on the way.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Alvin Schwieterman.
Edith was a 1972 graduate of Marion Local High School. She worked for 40 years at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina.
She was an avid member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys. She enjoyed traveling, baking and gardening.
Edith was a devoted wife and mother, a fun loving grandma, and had many great friends. Bill and
Edith have always felt very blessed to both come from large and wonderful families.
Visitation hours will be from 3-8 on Friday, January 3, 2014. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 pm in the Cisco Funeral Home of St. Marys, located at 1175 E. Greenville Rd. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday in the Holy Rosary Church, St. Marys with Fr. Barry Stechschulte, officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
