Dylan Robert Bigelow, of Rockford, passed away at the age of 25, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Van Wert Hospital from injuries that were sustained in an ATV accident. He was born on February 17, 1999, in Van Wert.
He is survived by his father, John (Suzy) Bigelow, Celina; his mother, Rashell (Scott) Bergman, Celina; his sibling, Zacary D. Bigelow, Celina, Christian Akerman, Van Wert, Katelynn (Lane) Ingle, Union City, Ohio and Alex Shimp, Muncie, Indiana; paternal grandparents, L. Vonnie (Rodney) Crouch, Celina; maternal grandfather, Richard Babb; and many friends.
Dylan is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Bigelow, and paternal grandmother, Garnet Babb.
He was a 2017 graduate of Celina High School. Dylan worked alongside his father at the family business, Triple B Refinishing in Celina, over the years; Dylan brought dedication and a tireless work ethic to the business, which embodied the values instilled in him by his father.
Dylan was a member of Celina Moose, the Rockford Eagles, and The Punishers Motorcycle Club, Grand Lake Chapter.
Dylan was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his ATV, snowmobile, and Harley Davidson; his love for nature was infectious, which inspired those around him to appreciate time outdoors and the exhilarating rush of speeding through the local landscapes. He loved the simple things in life and was a friend to many. Dylan’s legacy as an avid outdoorsman will forever live on in the memories of those who shared in his adventures, and the memories of his laughter, as he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with Pastor Jason King officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, prior to the services at the funeral home. The Bigelow family requests that you dress casually for Dylan's services.
