David W. Young

October 20, 1965 — June 6, 2018

David W. Young, age 52, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born October 20, 1965 in Covington, Ohio to the late Richard A. Young and Dorothy L. (Sanders) Caywood. On April 16, 2016 he married Melynda D. “Myndi” (Whitlock) Young, and she survives at the residence in St. Marys.

He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Taylor A. Young (Aaron M.) Taylor, Celina; a son, Kolton D. Young, St. Marys; a sister, Kathy (Bernie) Roessner, New Knoxville; two brothers, Tim (Mitzie) Young, Montezuma, and Thom (Amanda) Young, St. Marys; and his grandson, Emmett “Bubby”.

Also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Young.

Dave worked at Kerns Ford in Celina as the parts manager. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
