Charlotte Maxine Weaver, 81, of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 4th,
2024. She was born in Mingo County West Virginia. The Daughter of the late French and Elva Gollie
Hatfield. In junior high Maxine met the love of her life William "Bill" Weaver who she married in 1959.
They have been married for 64 years.
Maxine worked 31 years in the telecommunications industry before retiring from AT&T in 1990. She is a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Maxine grew up in Columbus, Ohio where she went to Central High School. Maxine lived a full life and touched many lives along her way. She loved living at her lake house, traveling, bowling, fishing, boating, Ohio State football and spending time with family and friends.
Maxine is preceded in death by her Son William "Billy Ray" and his wife Debbie Weaver; sisters, Geneva Grimes, Ruby Weiner, Opal Thompson; and brothers-in-law, Rich Weiner, Jerry Thompson and Lon Murphy.
Maxine is survived by husband Bill Weaver; son, David (Teri) Weaver of Delaware, Ohio; three sisters, Barbara Murphy of Columbus, Wanda (Russell) Moore of Hamilton, Ohio, Sharon (Bruce) Adams of Coply, Ohio; a brother, Dwaine (Sarah) Hatfield of Wilmington, Ohio.
Maxine had four grandchildren, Kyle (Mary) Weaver of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Kaeli (Josh) Allenstein of Mooresville, N.C., Eric (Mandy) Hagemann of Westerville, Ohio, Kelly (Andrew) Rhodes of Marysville, Ohio; and eight great grandchildren; Owen, Olivia, Rhys, Connor, Austin, Alexis, Alexander Jack, and Braden.
A church service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday August 22, 2024 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Rd, Columbus, OH 43229. Visitation following the service will be at the church until 1:30 PM.
