Charles A. Burklo, age 71, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Burton’s Ridge Assisted Living in Lima, Ohio. He was born on October 23, 1949 in St. Marys to the late Herbert and Virginia (Kuhns) Burklo. On August 17, 1973 he married Linda L. (Selby) Burklo and she preceded him to death on February 21, 2011.
Survivors include a son Matthew (Angelina) Burklo, Cridersville, Ohio; two daughters, Melanie (Wyatt) Erb, Sidney, Ohio and Mary (Nathan) Overley, St. Marys, Ohio; a brother, Henry and Phyllis Burklo, Bryan Ohio; three sisters, Kim and Nancy Fritz, St. Marys Ohio, Pat Smith, St. Marys Ohio and Sue Mayse, New Knoxville Ohio; and ten grandchildren.
Charles was a 1967 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He proudly served his nation in the United State Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician throughout his life.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in St. Marys with Pastor Tim Benjamin officiating; with military honors by the St. Marys VFW Post 9289 and the American Legion Post 323.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Marys Legion Post 323.
