Carol A. (Whitney) McMurray, 70, St. Marys, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:55 AM in the St. Marys Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, OH. She was born December 4, 1943, in Lima, OH to Ralph and Edna (Shamp) Whitney, both preceded her in death. She married Steven C. McMurray on November 27, 1965 and he survives in St. Marys.
She was a 1961 graduate of Spencerville High School. Carol spent much of her life as a homemaker and a loving caregiver for her children.
She was a member of Cavalry Christian Fellowship, St. Marys, OH.
Carol is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Aaron) Suchland, New Bremen; three sons, Jim (Sue) McMurray, St. Marys, Kevin McMurray, St. Marys and Brian McMurray, New Bremen; a sister, Anita Whitney, Tiffin, OH; two brothers, Joe (Linda) Whitney, St. Marys and Pastor Neal (Renee) Whitney, Elida; and 7 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Christa McMurray.
A memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Cavalry Christian Fellowship, St. Marys, OH. Pastor Jim Sweigart officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service during the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
