Bryan R. Dupes, age 74, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on November 20,2020 at 2:23 pm at Mercy Health St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. Bryan was born on April 13, 1946 in Blackpool England to the late Oscar & Lois (Jones) Dupes. On June 25, 1972, he married Mary (Sutter) Dupes who survives at their residence in Celina.
Bryan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Dupes of Celina; his six children: John Owens of Celina, Cindy (Mike Thees) Mott of Celina, Pam Eckhardt of Celina, Bill (Eileen) Graves of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Bryan Dupes Jr. and Jolynda Dupes. Bryan is also survived by his ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; siblings: Ann Herzog of Kentucky, Barbara Jaramillo of Florida, and Beth Downey of Florida. Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
Bryan was a graduate of Elida High School. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army with active duty in the Vietnam War. Bryan retired after thirty-four years of employment from Good Year Tire Company in St. Marys.
Bryan had a huge interest in hunting and fishing; he would stop in a heartbeat to help other fishermen and to teach them about fishing; he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Besides being an avid outdoorsman, Bryan’s adoration was with his children, grandchildren and he was especially good with his great grandkids. Many knew Bryan as “pop pop” which shows the love that he had for his family and he will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation hours will take place from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm following visiting hours at the funeral home with Military Rites.
Attendees are asked to follow social distancing guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of Covid-19. Masks are required for attendees at the visitation and funeral service
