Anthony G. “Tony” Cole, 48, of Celina, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, as the result of a car accident in rural Mercer County.
Tony was born on December 9, 1977, in St. Marys, Ohio, to Darrell and Elizebeth (Cole) Roop. He was a 1997 graduate of Lima Senior High School and worked as a self-employed van driver, serving the Amish community.
Tony is survived by his father, Darrell Roop of Celina; his siblings, Levi Williams of Ashland, Oregon, Andrew (Rose) Cole of Celina, and Amy (Kirt) Harner of Venedocia, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elizebeth “Becky” Roop, who passed away on July 13, 2020.
