Alvin B Schulze

Alvin B. Schulze, 91, 215 Northway Dr., St. Marys, OH died 6:00 AM on September 19, 2013. He was born March 19, 1922 in Yorkshire, OH to John and Agatha (Streacker) Schulze. He married Dolores Otting on November 26, 1949 and she preceded him in death on December 18, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Bernard J. “Benny” Schulze, St. Marys and Leonard C. Schulze, St. Marys; a daughter, Agnes V. (James) Schmerge, St. Marys; two brothers, Erwin (Eileen) Schulze, St. Rose, OH and Victor (Judith) Schulze, McCartyville, OH; three grandchildren, Richard Schulze, Amy Grillot and Holly Combs; and seven great grand children, Victoria, Olivia, Norah, Cooper and Zebulon Grillot, Brianne Ballenger and Katelyn Combs.

Also preceded in death by a son, William Schulze; a daughter, Kathryn Spurlock; a sister, Margaret Dircksen; five brothers, Elmer, Linus, Leander, Wilbert, Walter and John Schulze; and a great grandson, Lennon Grillot.

Alvin was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys. He retired from Scott Miller Construction, St. Marys. He enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, watching the Reds and most of all spending time with his family.

Visitation hours will be from 2 - 6 on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the Cisco Funeral Home of St. Marys, located at 1175 E. Greenville Rd. To conclude the visitation a prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 am on Monday in the Holy Rosary Church, St. Marys with Fr. Barry Stechschulte, officiating. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery,
St. Marys.
