James "Jim" Wiley

April 15, 1944 — December 10, 2021

James (Jim) Wiley, age 77, of Celina, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Mercer Health in Coldwater. He was born on April 15, 1944, in Celina, to the late John and Nellie (Moore) Wiley. On May 4, 1973, he married Dorothy (Reichert) Wiley and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2006.

Surviving are his children, Christine (Andrew) Price, Dublin, Ohio, Michael (Molly) Wiley, Hilliard, Ohio and Bradley (Jessica) Wiley, Miamisburg, Ohio; a sister, Cathy (Albert) Sampson of Dublin; In-laws, Carole Wiley of Cortland, Mary Lou Wenning of Coldwater, Betty Brisch of Egg Harbor, WI, Joe (Diane) Reichert of Ft. Loramie, Margie (John) Buschur of Maria Stein, Ginny (Mike) Bensman of Minster, John (Bernice) Reichert of Maria Stein; seven grandchildren, Ellison, Evan, Ethan, Leah, Kaden, Owen and Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim is also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Wiley; a sister, Mary Alice (Bob) Lee; his father and mother-in-law, Othmar and Lorena (Wynk) Reichert; two brother-in-laws, Richard Brisch and Jack Wenning; and two nieces, Jessica Sampson and Amy Reichert.

After graduating from Celina High School in 1962, Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He worked at Beatrice Foods Co. in New Bremen until their closure and then retired from Crown Equipment, also in New Bremen.

Jim was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns Fan. However, his pride and joy was watching his grandchildren grow up. He will be deeply missed by all.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #210 in Celina.

Private services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina with his friend, Pastor Kirk Havel officiating.
Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery, in Celina, with military rites to be conducted by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and VFW Post #5713.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
